Original Watercolor Designs

I began working with water color in the Winter/Spring of 2026, and am thrilled with the possibilities that the timeless style holds. From abstract wedding invitations to charming architectural mock ups, watercolor is one of my favorite trends in today’s world of paper and design.

It was such a fun project to capture the stunning Adam-Style architecture of this 19th century wedding venue in Charleston, South Carolina.

By using a reference image below to trace a line-art sketch, I was able to color block fill in the larger shapes and tones before adding in the smaller details to highlight the lavish build of this property. Because the building has such strong lines and shapes, starting with an accurate line drawing prevented any loss of structure of recognition.
